Events: Media Comes out for a Good Cause

Newsbabes is a charity founded by DC newswomen to bring survivors, advocates, and friends together to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

On Tuesday, April 27, many media personalities came together to build excitement for the recent sixth annual pink cocktail party, the Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer. In a private lounge at The Apartments at CityCenter, attendees savored Righteous Cheese’s artisanal cheeses, Acadiana’s etouffee, and Georgetown Cupcakes’ pink cupcakes.

This year’s bash benefited Survivors Offering Support, which lets breast cancer patients and survivors share their experiences with others. According to Bisnow, a highlight was a surprise $10,000 donation by Barry Glassman.
